The repair of the concrete roof in relation to water proofing was taken up as the first task as water was seeping into the vitals of the church.Larson and Tubro was engaged to effectively complete the work.and this work has been completed at the cost of 3 Lakhs. The Altar was beautified with church aesthetics. The newly fitted brass railing adds beauty to the church. The Pastors room and the office room are complete now.A part of the church fooring has been granited.Sun shades have been inserted to protect the windows and doors.A mixer amplifier has been added to the sound system of the church. Some of the wooden structures have been varnished including the circular rims of the stained glass windows.Grills have been fitted into the circular window openings for stained glass christian motif. The work on the side ramps and steps are nearing completion.A new inverter has been gifted to the church by Mrs Eben Chandra. The church lacks an organ to meet the needs of a complete organ music oriented culture.By and large, there is no real need for a Full fledged Organ as the Church doesn't restrict its Music only to Hymns or Organ based Musical Works.A wide array of styles and genres are used to praise God and Hymn Music is easily managed with the Electronic Keyboards.A generator is available for emergency needs.
The amplifier and the inverter have been given a proper console cabinet and a proper location for better accoustics in the church(23.12.08).The new sound amplification and the arrangements have received a good and positive feedback from all members of the church's faithful community. Thanks be to all who have strived hard for the establishment of proper accoustics and amplification in St Luke's Church.
